2012 was an amazing year with the London Olympics and the Queen’s Jubilee seeing summer become a glittering array of lights, gold medals, royal gatherings and tourists a plenty. It was also supposed to be the wettest year on record in England (2nd wettest in the UK after 2000). Bradley Wiggins did us proud, and Team GB did not let us down.
2012 was the year when Facebook went live and Barack Obama was voted in for a 2nd term, Apple launched the iPhone 5, Gangnam style went viral, and Felix Baumgartner jumped from 39 kilometres above the earth to break the sound barrier, Superstorm Sandy created mass devastation in the US, and the end of the world scheduled for 21 December didn’t happen (phew!).
Looking forward to 2013, we can expect a royal baby around June, there is an International Day of Happiness on March 20th, and it’s been 50 years since Kennedy was assassinated.
What are you looking forward to in 2013? Why not let us know…
