Having originally developed a website for Ramster Hall in 2010 to boost their bookings, in mid 2015 we undertook a refresh of the website templates to bring them up to date. With improvements in usability now available from Responsive technology and the availability of more powerful and engaging multimedia platforms, we wanted to help show off the venue and give visitors an opportunity to get a real sense of the place and to then arrange a viewing.
With the page structure well established and supported by an active SEO and AdWords campaign, we set about designing a rich and engaging experience that would show off the venue and demonstrate the history and beautiful rooms that really add to the wedding day experience. We created pages using large, full width images including a homepage that starts with a full screen slideshow, using various techniques to provide a sense of reality as you view the images.
The proof is in the pudding as they say. Since the redesign of the website, the traffic and in particular the number of conversions has seen a significant increase. After the first week of the new design, the client was receiving a level of enquiries normally seen at the two main enquiry times of year; New Year and Valentines Day. In part this is down to the increased priortity given to relevant calls to action but overall the rich and engaging experience provided by the templates draws you in, recreating that special magic that you experience when you step foot inside the halls.
