A Newsworthy Website for Our Blue Chip Client, Petplan

A Newsworthy Website for Our Blue Chip Client, Petplan

Red Ant Solutions designs, develops and deploys a wide range of integrated and complimentary websites for Petplan, the UK’s no.1 pet insurance provider.

Our most recent project was a major overhaul and enhancement of their consumer facing Find a Pet site which provides an impressive level of information and advice on both breeds and location for anyone looking to find a new puppy or kitten. The website is automatically updated from information that a network of recognised breeders input into their own extranet, called petplanbreeder.co.uk, to advertise their litters.

New Branding and User Experience Optimisation

Our objectives were to bring the site up to date with the refreshed Petplan branding and to further increase the traffic to the site by improving user experience and SERPs.  To achieve these objectives we built the site with the latest technology and also ensured that it was optimised for search engines whilst delivering ease of navigation for the user.  We created our design based on the up to date brand guidelines to ensure the site was in line with our other Petplan websites.

The new website went live in February 2014 and this week it made the news in the Daily Mail. The article was based upon research from Petplan about what type of personalities own certain breeds of cats and dogs and it proved to be an interesting read!

Already the site has increased its traffic by 1500% and is continuing to grow. Our client and ourselves are equally ‘over the moon’ with these results and its on-going progression.
